1景 日本橋雪晴 Nihonbashi, Sunny Day After Snow

４３景と同じ日本橋です。

手前が４３景でも書いた魚市場です。

日本橋川にはたくさんの船が描かれています。

日本橋とその向こうが一石橋。

その向こうが江戸城で、さらにその先が富士山。

（でっかい富士山ですね!）

江戸時代の地図には日本橋のところに「此橋上ヨリ御城ならびに富士山見エテ絶景ナリ」と書いてあります。

さてその絶景ですが…。

Like View 43, this is also the picture of Nihonbashi. 

In the foreground, you can see the fish market that I mentioned.

There are many boats on the Nihonbashi River.

You can see Nihonbashi-bridge, and Ichikoku-bridge in a distance. 

Beyond that is Edo Castle. And beyond that is Mt. Fuji.(Wow! That's a big Fuji!)

In the old Edo map, they added a special note on Nihonbashi-bridge, 

"the spectacular view of Castle and Mt. Fuji from this bridge."

Well, that spectacular view...

首都高と高いビルに阻まれています。

Well, you can only see the highway and tall buildings now.

でも今の橋のデザインもきれいだと思います。

But I think the bridge itself looks pretty even today.

船着場もありました。機会があったらここから船にも乗ってみたいです。

It seems you can ride a boat from here. If I have a chance, I would like to try that.

他にも橋銘が第１５代将軍徳川慶喜筆だったり、日本国道路元標があったり。

ゆっくり歩いてみるとおもしろいですね。

Also, I learned that the engraved letter "Nihonbashi" was written by the last Shogun, Tokugawa Yoshinobu. I saw the zero milestone of Japan, too.
It was fun walking around the area.
